Our newest patient and beta tester might only be 2 but he certainly looks to be kicking chemos butt and will now be doing it in style while rocking #lifetackled gear.
This summer he was diagnosed with aversa stage 3 neuroblastoma after many months of tests trying to figure out why he was so lethargic. Unfortunately they uncovered something no parent ever wants to find. This little fighters cousin reached out to the #LT team when it was apparent to the family that the double lumen chestport was causing him discomfort in normal clothes. So we are currently whipping something up that we wish they made in adult size. Our prayers and positive vibes are with you lil dude.

We love seeing our patients bounce back from obstacles in their lives, especially the children! Kenzie* is the face of our children’s line, last week she had to have her leg amputated due to it not healing from a past injury, this week I am so proud to see her bouncing around & trick-or-treating. I’m glad LT could make a difference during such a trying time and we hope to continue to do so. *We always respect patient privacy and never share stories or pictures unless explicitly permitted to do so. Yesterday was the official first day of summer.... Though with the heatwave we had last week you'd think summer arrived sooner. Regardless, the team at Life Tackled has been logging mucho hours in at the gym in hopes of getting that summer body. But as we all know sometimes our body has different opinions on what it wants to look like which is why many people consider getting liposuction or a tummy tuck. While being healthy is the most important thing we also understand that many people care about how they look on the outside. At Life Tackled we believe you should be allowed to do what makes you happy and for many people plastic surgery offers a solution to problem areas where exercise and diet don't seem to help. So if you're considering getting one of these procedures keep in mind your doctor may require you to wear drains or a compression garment post procedure for optimal healing results. These items are generally worn anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks* Our Marissa kaftan offers a fun stylish look on the outside while having the ability to hold these drains on the inside. Its a must for anyone who doesn't want to live in baggy t-shirts post recovery or be stuck inside while recovering. Its also a great choice for patients undergoing breast surgery and the like. Available at an affordable price the Marissa kaftan makes healing that much easier. *Disclaimer: The above information is not intended to treat, diagnose, cure or prevent any disease and is the sole opinion of the site owner. LT fashions in the operating room? Seriously? Yes, you read that right. One of our clients suffers from a condition that requires her to go under anesthesia every few months while the doc does his thing to make sure her condition remains in check. It's a pretty quick trip in and out, maybe 4 hours tops. However this last time she was telling us how even for a quick trip she was over freezing while waiting in pre-op, being wheeled in and then recovering in post-op. Then she asked us to design an operating room friendly set. Challenge accepted our freezing friend. Unlike our recovery & treatment room garments our operating room clothes would have to be completely accessible for the nurses in case of an emergency* It was a bit of a challenge but we came up with an adorable and dare we even say sexy wrap top that allowed for complete and total access while still keeping our client toasty warm. Meet the Chantelle. ![]() Unlike our other designs the Chantelle is still in beginner beta stage but we have a toasty feeling (maybe its the shirt) that it will be on our online store very soon. *Disclaimer: This information is not intended to treat, diagnose, cure or prevent any disease. LIFE TACKLED FOR THE WIN!!!!
Today we are super excited--not only because we're writing our first blog post on our new site but because we're also writing it from beautiful California! Recently our founder, Elyse, entered one of her awesome textile designs in the AMGEN Breakaway From Cancer fashion design contest......and won!!! She beat out over 500+ fellow designers and her design will be featured on the Breakaway kaftan for 2017 thanks to The Bold and The Beautiful's Katherine Kelly Lang! In addition AMGEN flew some of the LT crew out to California to help the boss lady unveil her design at the finish line today. Not a bad way to spend a Sunday that's for sure! We are so excited and proud to be part of the LT team and cannot wait to see what the future holds. |
